20/06/2012 - Stellasoft, the internet design and development company, based in Frome, have joined forces with the Frome Festival this year to produce a brand new state-of–the-art website for the Festival which is proving hugely popular, attracting thousands of hits from all over the world since it went “live” in May.
Provided to the Frome Festival entirely on a sponsorship deal, the website uses the very latest in design and technology to make the site attractive and “user friendly.” Said Festival Creative Director, Martin Dimery: “ The Frome Festival has over 200 separate events and activities taking place, and so it is tremendous that we now have a website with a search engine which will enable customers to instantly shortlist events in different categories - for example Comedy, Classical Music, or Walks and Talks and so on. Also, it is great for visitors to be able to immediately search the events on in a single day.
The most recent addition of a timeline, which brilliantly scrolls through the Festival programme, giving a detailed, at a glance, view of each event in turn, will make planning a visit to the Festival that much easier. If you have a smart phone, you can even use the timeline as a very handy in-your-pocket guide to the festival.
Working in close collaboration with Frome Festival’s IT advisor Richard Davies, the Stellasoft team, led by designer Matthew Tymus, has been crucial to the partnership. Stellasoft Director Simon Roberts said: “We are delighted and excited to have been able to roll our sleeves up and get involved with the Frome Festival. Our whole team has been involved in building this web platform, something that we feel that Stellasoft, the Festival and Frome can be really proud of”.
