Today is the Last Day of the South West Stint

Today is the last leg of the South West Stint’s journey! They’ve extended their final day to include several more stops, including Lymington, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Nomansland before they head for home. If you read our blog or follow us or the South West Stint on social media you’ll know we were one of the inital sponsors of the South West Stint and have been following their progress on their 5 day journey across the South West to raise money and awareness for the Will Cross Foundation and the RNLI.

Their journey hasn’t been without difficulty – in typical british fashion the team have had to endure one or two rainy nights in their tents and the cars themselves have encountered several issues throughout the course of their trip from flat tires to breakdowns! but they’ve always managed to keep on going, for instance when one of the cars broke down outside Porthleven on day 3. There’s been many highs to the trip! Not only did they surpass their initial donation aim of £3000, but the team were able to tour an RNLI lifeboat in Exmouth yesterday and were even interviewed by BBC Radio Cornwall.

We are very happy to have had the opportunity to support two incredible charities: the Will Cross Foundation which is a charitable foundation established in memory of Will Cross that is used to assist young people to fulfill their dreams and aspirations, and the RNLI who are a 24hr lifeboat service which saves lives around the UK and Ireland every day. Both rely on donations to keep their services running – there’s still time to donate to both of these worthwhile charities through the donation page on the South West Stint website.
